In Tallinn, Estonia, the 8th Meeting of the INFORM EU Network
From 16 to 18 June, the 8th Meeting of the INFORM EU network is taking place in Tallinn, Estonia. The event brings together communicators of EU funds and includes the participation of the Italian delegation, coordinated by the Department for Cohesion Policies and the South. The programme features numerous panels, workshops and networking sessions, all centred around the key theme of disinformation and fake news - “Truth and Trust: Communicators vs Disinformation”. Discussions focus on the methods and tools available to communicators to counter these phenomena and to strengthen citizens’ trust in European communications and information.
The three-day event was opened by institutional greetings from Kristen Michal, Prime Minister of the Estonian Government, and Themis Christophidou, Director-General of DG REGIO at the European Commission. This was followed by an opening address by Fabiana Zollo, Associate Professor of Computer Science and Head of the Data Science Laboratory at Ca' Foscari University of Venice.
