According to the data at 15 July 2022, to the cohesion policies for the 2021-2027 programming period are allocated 147,705.0 million euros.
The table will be enriched in the upcoming months, with the definition of the programmes related to the Italian strategic framework proposal, the 2021-2027 Partnership Agreement submitted in January 2022 launching a formal negotiation phase with the European Commission.
The territorial analysis shows that most of the resources are assigned to the regions of the Mezzogiorno area. However, not all the regions of the geographical South (which includes the territories of Abruzzo, Molise, Campania, Basilicata, Puglia, Calabria, Sicily and Sardinia) are classified among the "less developed" regions of Europe, those with lower per capita GDP 75% of the EU average to which over 70% of the resources are allocated. Abruzzo is considered a transition region.
The resources coming from Next Generation EU for the REACT-EU initiative are not represented in this table, but are accounted for in the 2014-2020 programming period in consideration of their finalization as a financial complement to the 2014-2020 European Programmes.
After the definition and launch of the programmes, these will enter the National Monitoring System of cohesion policies and at that point the data will be dynamically displayed and published in open data on the OpenCoesione portal.
