The 2021-2027 programming period of cohesion policy is financed by European and national resources and is currently in the phase of definition. The governance of the 2021-2027 cohesion policy, the strategic objectives and resources planning are defined within the documents illustrated in the following infographic.
As regards the cohesion policy financed with national resources, the allocation of 80 percent of the Fund for Development and Cohesion to the South is confirmed. Article 1, paragraph 178, of the budget law for the year 2021 (law n.178 / 2020) provides that the financial allocation of 2021-2027 is used in accordance with the National Plan for Recovery and Resilience (PNRR), without prejudice to the principles of complementarity and additionality.
In March 2022 was published, in accordance with the provisions of Law no. 178/2020, the document that defines the FSC 2021-2027 Strategic Objectives for each of the 12 thematic areas, which already characterize the 2014-2020 Development and Cohesion Plans, as identified by article 2 of CIPESS Resolution no. 2/2021. The document was prepared starting from technical contributions from the Administration, with the contribution of a dedicated Commission appointed by the Minister for the South and Territorial Cohesion.
