Project Stories- Hidden Treasures of the Mediterranean

The latest Project Story published today on OpenCoesione is dedicated to Tesori nascosti del Mediterraneo (Hidden Treasures of the Mediterranean). Funded with over €1.1 million under the Interreg Italy-France Maritime Programme 2014–2020, the initiative aims to enhance the environmental and tourism assets of certain inland areas of the Mediterranean through an innovative model of slow and sustainable tourism.

Five areas across Liguria, Sardinia and Corsica are involved, where a cross-border network of micro-enterprises has developed integrated experiences of widespread hospitality, nature-based excursions, artisanal workshops, and the promotion of local excellence.

An initiative that combines territorial enhancement with local economic development, and looks to the future through the creation of a shared brand and a European network of resilient territories.
