23/07/2020

Eight years following to the launch of the OpenCoesione portal, there are now 1.571.038 projects monitored for a total cost of over €180,6 billion of Euro: including for each a variety of information that have been progressively refined and updated, today comprising both the 2007-2013 and 2014-2020 programming periods. The portal features thematic areas focus that are updated bimonthly, the publication of new  databases related to the programmes, and now new functions for the reuse of data.

Alongside an overall and constant update of all the portal’s content, the main new releases prepared for the eight-year anniversary concern as follows:

  • The adjustment of the main menu, with a section dedicated to “Reuse and participation”, where to find both the insights - such as Pills and Data Cards - and the civic monitoring processes managed by the OpenCoesione: At the school of OpenCohesion and Monithon

  • a new section dedicated to Data Labs, accompanied by a new template aimed at gathering all those documents (papers, books, analyzes, infographics) that the authors have created over the years starting from the data made available by OpenCoesione and which are made easily accessible for the stakeholders;

  • greater visibility for At the School of OpenCohesion ASOC, strengthened by the numbers: 7 editions, 26,000 students and 3,000 teachers involved, now 800 projects monitored for an overall budget of approximately 8 billion Euro - and its role of the "pilot project" in Italy recognized by the Commission with the launch of the European pilot testing, to which an ad hoc space is dedicated on the OpenCoesione homepage;

  • starting from July 2020 the section dedicated to the "Focus" (the thematic insights on the projects for single identified policy areas), which is now more flexible and easily updated starting from the work of OpenCoesione analysts. Today in this section have been made available 2 focuses: “Childhood” (10,845 operations, for a net public funding of 956.6 million euro) and “Tourism-Culture-Nature” (24,516 operations, for a total public funding of 13.7 billion euro)
