DIGitalisation of multimodal transport in the Adriatic SEA
The Interreg IT-HR 2014-2020 Programme developed several projects dealing with freight transport, four of them focusing on ICT applied to maritime and multimodal transport, from different perspectives. PROMARES assessed the use of ICT solutions in the port-hinterland domain. INTESA focused on the port-sea relation, with the goal of harmonizing and optimizing the procedures of the maritime transport processes. DigLogs looked into improving information flows of transport processes on freight movements, status and authorizations. TRANSPOGOOD developed an innovative ICT tool to find the best solution of transport services (e.g., best price of combined transport), DIGSEA clusters the technical knowledge developed by these projects and consolidates it in a single sea-port-hinterland-logistics approach, covering the whole supply chain. This way, the experiences and expertise of the current programming period will serve as a basis for the new one, ensuring their long-term sustainability and replicability.
