A Data Card for World Telecommunication and Information Society Day

17/05/2022

17th May marks the World Telecommunications and Information Society Day, which has been celebrated every year since 1969. On the day that commemorates the founding of the International Telecommunications Union (ITU) - the United Nations specialized agency for technologies of information and communication (ITC) - and the signing of the first international telegraphic convention in 1865, OpenCoesione publishes a Data Card that describes the projects of cohesion policies that develop and enhance the digital technologies in order to promote healthy aging for elderly people.

The theme identified by the ITU for the 2022 edition of the Day is in fact "Digital technologies for elder and healthy aging", to highlight the role of digital technologies for the elderly and healthy - active aging.
