OpenCoesione and ASOC: renewed memorandum of understanding with the EC Representation in Italy

29/12/2020

The renewal of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Department for Cohesion Policies and the Representation of the European Commission in Italy for the promotion of the OpenCoesione initiative and the "At the School of OpenCohesion" educational programme was signed on 23 December 2020. The Protocol foresees the dissemination of the data published on the OpenCoesione portal and the initiatives of civic involvement and active participation and the ASOC project.

This Protocol represents an update of the previous signed in March 2018 and foresees the involvement of the Europe Direct Centers network (EDIC) - which will be renewed starting from May 2021 - and the European Documentation Centers (CDE), coordinated by the Representation.

In fact, within the scope of the Protocol, the EDIC network supports the ASOC project with support and tutoring activities at the local level and contributes together with the Representation to the enhancement of the activities of OpenCoesione and ASOC. During the school year 2020-2021, 130 out of 214 teams of students are supported by a Europe Direct Center or a European Documentation Center.

The documents are available for consultation in the Partnership section of the OpenCoesione portal.
