ASOC2021: the Terre Bruciate team receives the Senate of the Republic award

The Einaudi-Pareto Institute of Palermo, which in the 2020-2021 edition of ASOC was awarded the Senate of the Republic award as one of the most performing in the monitoring of the project having culture and tourism as a focus and that was chosen on the OpenCoesione portal, carried out today - 8th April 2022 from 9.00 to 13.00 an online meeting with the representatives of the Senate of the Republic.

The agenda and the training included: the introduction by the Senate Institutional Communication Office on the history, composition, bodies and their functions, legislative and non-legislative activity, documentation produced and information channels for citizens by Dr. Massimo Martinelli passing then all in detail to the tool of the fact-finding survey, a procedure that allows parliamentary commissions to acquire news, information and documents useful for the activities of the Chambers.

In the second part, the Terre Bruciate team presented to the Senators - Honorable Dario Stefàno and the Honorable Luca Briziarelli their civic monitoring research carried out as part of the educational path At the School of OpenCohesion, as well as their proposals and improvements that from their point of view should be implemented by the institutions to tackle the problem of forest fires in the Sicilian region.

On May 16, 2022, the Senate of the Republic, partner of the project, will offer these students an additional prize - the visit to the prestigious Palazzo Madama in Rome, as a further opportunity to get in direct contact with the institutions.
