Italy and the European CRII and CRII + initiatives

In accordance with the provisions of the European CRII and CRII + initiatives, Italy has put in place a complex reprogramming process that involves the various 2014-2020 cohesion policy programmes (European Operational Programmes, Complementary Operational Programmes and Development and Cohesion Plans) in order to maximize the availability of resources in the short term period aimed at supporting the Covid-19 emergency response Strategy.

The reprogramming process has been carried out with the Ministries and with the Regions on both the ERDF and the ESF and has reached an overall value of 5.4 billion euro of the NOPs. With the Regions the overall value reached is instead around 6.5 billion euro of the ROP. Thus the total amount of the funds reprogrammed is of about 12 billion euros (data updated at 1st February 2021).
